Obamessiah on Socialist scripture

"Am I my brothers keeper?" -

Being the keeper of one’s brother implies that one’s brother is also one’s keeper. Who then is keeping who and what exactly does that entail?

It is a stupid, rather meaningless saying that derives from a misunderstanding of a bible text. It became popular, I guess, not because it is useful but because (when it is misunderstood) it sounds so enlightened and noble.

The very use of it is an indicator of intellectual vacuity.

Even Her feet are perfect

What is that I hear dying over there? Is it a moose that Palin wrestled to the ground and skinned with her teeth? Alas, no. It’s Obama/Biden’s ridiculous attempt at claiming blue collar understanding and support.

Great pick McC ... great pick.

Buy it all, stack it high.

Sitting in my palatial estate today, surrounded by my two great hounds, Jack and Zuleyka, my mind started to wonder within the confines of one of my fav topics, guns .. and even more to the point, how much ammo is enough to have on hand at any given time in preparation for a SHTF event.

Doing my own inventory, I found that I am in not too bad of shape, I think.

For my 12 Gauge, I have about 130 rounds of what I would call "defense" rounds(00 and slugs), plus another 60 or 70 lighter rounds- BB, #4's and the like.

In 45ACP, I have 150 rounds of the various 230 grain variety.

In 9mm, 40 rounds or so. Weak ...

In .22, 500+. Mostly the cheapo bulk Remington stuff. Gotta add a few boxes of CCI Stingers to my collection.

I do not own a rifle yet, but will probably add a .223 carbine to my arsenal(Saiga on my mind at the moment). Maybe a 1000 rounds on hand for it? Dunno. Being a city boy, I never thought about needing a rifle till the explosive entry by our local SWAT team next door.

I feel a trip to the WalMart sporting goods section coming in my near future. :)

"The Lightweight" on Thomas and Scalia

In this spectacularly insightful video, the Obamessiah, almost, states that Clarence Thomas was too inexperienced to be, at the time of his appointment, a Supreme Court judge. Wow! Experience counts for something then? Interesting point, BHO.

He also states that he was diametrically opposed to Scalia in philosophy. Really? I would have never guessed! Liberty and the ability for the people to decide what is best for them in the hands of the masses? BO and the leftist cronies will have none of that!

If the video below does not make you want to run screaming into the other direction from BHO's leftist agenda, nothing will.

Gitmo on the Platte

If mass arrests happen at the Democratic Convention, those taken into custody will be jailed in a warehouse owned by the City of Denver. The newly created lockup is on the northeast side of Denver. Inside are dozens of metal cages. They are made out of chain link fence material and topped by rolls of barbed wire.

“This is a secured environment,” Capt. Frank Gale of the Denver Sheriff’s Department stated.

“We’re concerned about how that’s going to be utilized by people who will be potentially disruptive.”

In past conventions, mass arrests have taken place.

With Denver’s jails already overflowing, new space had to be created and officers trained.

Each of the fenced areas is about 5 yards by 5 yards and there is a lock on the door. A sign on the wall reads “Warning! Electric stun devices used in this facility.”

Wow. The party of peace and love and tolerance, having a prison camp constructed for them and their anarchist activities. Sweet.

SECURITY DOES NOT EXIST

China is spending some $6.5 billion on security for the Games. Subjects of the Chinese government have been "hired" by their gov to act as spy's by being posted on streets and in parks, searching out "suspicious" activity. Bags are searched, people are frisked, internet activity is limited and monitored, government camera's observe all who walk the streets and roads of Beijing ... and yet, one lone knife wielding psychopath kills one and injures two others in an attack this weekend on tourists and their guide.

Moral of the story?

If you surrender your right to provide for your own personal security to any entity, you will find you will end up with neither Rights or security. Who knows better your personal needs, the government or you?

WHATS IN STORE FOR IRAN

Last night(August 8)on the Bill O'Reilly show, during a segment with Laura Ingraham, Bill made a statement which I found interesting. He stated that that he had from a very good source that China had struck a deal with the US, namely the Bush administration, that if W would come to the Olympic games, and thus allow China to by pass a potentially embarrassing situation that the absence of the leader of the free world would certainly create, they would offer their blessing on any strike on Iran.

Couple that with Iran's cool welcome by the crowd in Beijing during the opening ceremony(a state driven cool reception?), the month's long practice flights by the Israeli military over the Mediterranean and the latest news that two more U.S. carrier groups are heading to the Middle East, and we begin to see something is in the mix.

The next few weeks will tell the tale, but the facts all seem to point toward some action against Iran in the near future. And a strange new angle to the Sino/American relationship.

FOLLOW YOUR LEADER

“This is the people’s House,” Rep, Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) said. This is not Pelosi's politburo".

This is what it has come to. Socialism at its worst. Good job.

So, our (negatively) record setting batch of representatives(?) seems to think that they have earned a five week paid vacation for all of their hard work this year. Can you name something that they have done or a piece of legislation that they have passed?

One comes to mind to me ... the minimum wage increase. Result? Youth employment way down. What business owner wants to invest a greater share of his or her profits in an inexperienced person?

Is this Republican rebellion too little too late to save their rep? Probably. We will see. But the pendulum will swing back toward the Right at some point, and maybe the balls this group of leaders are displaying will bring more Conservative, young leadership out to guide our country.
