No circumstances exist in which you can suspend Rights(not given to man by gov, but are universal rights predating and preexisting the Constitution)of free men.
Democracy, able to be born because Western warriors stood in the face of invasion in places like Plaetea, Thermopylae and Marathon, is only won and secured by free men with the ability to stand in the face of tyrannical forces with the ability to shout "NO" and mean it.
The angles being played to attack our Right come from many directions. Ammunition serialization, weapons being shown as a negative public health issue(suicide, etc.), ammunition rationing. The list goes on and on.
Without vigilance, our Right shall be stolen from us.

Agreed. Ammunition serialization is a bunch of crap. I'm sure that criminals will find some easy way around serialization, just as they have gotten around every other attempt at gun control. Gun control only disarms the average law-abiding citizen, not criminals. The attempts at gun control to 'deter crime' have failed repeatedly. I don't understand how many want to keep trying it.
Ammo serialization does nothing other than jack the prices up.
There is NO way for the consumer/user to know if each round is serialized correctly. A digit off here or there could implicate an honest person in a shooting.
Resist any entity that fears free men.
You do know, don't you, that we do not live in a Democracy?
The U.S. is a Constitutional Republic.
Yes sir, but the Rep Republic is a refinement of the ancient idea of Democracy IMHO and elevates the individual in importance over the collective.
Very true. Also, Republicanism emphasizes Rule of Law vs. Might Makes Right.
I just wanted to know where you stood.
I find it a common mistake made by many to say that this is a Democracy. I'm glad to know you see the difference.
Republic: We the People.
Democracy: We the Sheeple.
